Wiri Business will continue to advocate for improved public transport connectivity in our area, including investigating the reopening of the Wiri Station Road train station.
Truck Parking
One of the ongoing issues that we are investigating is the negative impacts of truck parking in the Wiri Business district.
We are committed to the following actions:
Continue to collect further feedback from businesses on specific problem areas and experiences.
Continue working with Auckland Transport to push for improved enforcement and long-term infrastructure solutions.
Advocate with Auckland Council for the development of suitable truck parking facilities that meet driver needs and community standards.
Reach out to Government representatives to make them aware of these issues and gain support for progressing solutions.
Engage with transport operators to encourage more responsible parking practices among their drivers.
Working with other Business Improvement Districts to find out their experiences and gain traction on this issue.
