Wero Climb: South Auckland’s newest adventure Hub for everyone!

Manukau just got a whole lot more exciting with the opening of Wero Climb, the newest addition to the much-loved Wero Whitewater Park. This 16-metre-high purpose-built climbing adventure featuring over 70 unique challenges space is quickly becoming a must-visit attraction for families, groups, and workplaces.

What makes Wero Climb truly special is its deep cultural foundation. Many of the course elements are inspired by Māori mythological stories, developed in close collaboration with local Tainui iwi.

As participants climb, they engage with these stories, learning about strength, resilience, and identity through an immersive physical and cultural journey.

The structure includes a giant swing, trust jump, pole walk staircase and a “walk the plank” confidence course all of which will be accomplished while the participant is safely double harnessed to guide wires.

A school holiday hit for the kids

If your kids are ready to climb the walls these school holidays, literally, Wero Climb is the perfect place to bring them. Designed with families in mind, the facility features an array of imaginative and colourful climbing walls and vertical challenges.

Trained staff ensure a safe environment, making it easy for parents to relax while the kids burn off energy. There are two courses; The Adventure Course caters to ages 6+, while the Kids Course takes care of kids ages 3 – 8.

Take your team building to the next level

Wero Climb is just as impressive for adults. Companies looking for a team-building option that goes beyond standard workshops will find the climbing experience a fun way to promote communication and engagement.

Pairing a climbing session with a meeting or strategy workshop is easy thanks to the onsite conference and room facilities at the Wero Whitewater Park or next door at the Due Drop Events Centre.

From smaller boardrooms to the large conference facilities and delicious catering from Collective, their facilities are the perfect choice for your next meeting or event.

What’s it like on the ropes?

To get the inside scoop, Michelle from the Wiri Business team recently headed to Wero Climb to check out the new facility. Her verdict?

“I went in thinking it would be a fun hour, but I left absolutely buzzing. I love that it caters to all levels of fitness and how the climb weaves stories inspired by Māori mythology. I especially appreciate the double locking system; a bespoke carabiners with locking functionality which ensures you cannot unclip from the course. I left feeling energised and planning my next visit with the family!”
