First Aid Courses with Wiri Business

Wiri Business is pleased to announce changes to our first aid course offerings to ensure greater flexibility and a lower cost, while ensuring a quality training course is available to members.

We have partnered with St John and will be offering spaces on their public courses at a discounted price.

This means staff no longer need to wait for a quarterly course – they can access training that’s closer to their homes and on a date that suits them.

We are now able to expand our course offering to include Mental Health First Aid and refresher courses. See below for the full course outlines.

Terms and Conditions

Please note that course attendees must provide a minimum of three working days’ notice if they wish to change their course date.

If an attendee does not attend a scheduled course without prior notice, the Wiri Business subsidy will not apply to any rebooking, and the attendee (or their employer) will be required to pay the full course fee.

The subsidy is capped per financial year, once the full amount has been allocated, Wiri Business will not accept further bookings.

First Aid Level 1 - $100+GST

This 1-day assessed course is ideal for workplaces and anyone wanting to learn essential skills. This course is NZQA accredited. This course is Eligible for NZQA unit standards 6401 and 6402 On completion you will be awarded First Aid Level 1 (valid for 2 years)

First Aid Refesher Level 1 or 2 - $75+GST

This First Aid Refresher course is to renew your First Aid Level 1, Level 2, or equivalent certification. You'll learn the latest first aid information and techniques needed to take care of yourself and others in the home or workplace. Total course time is 6.5 hours and your certification will be valid for an additional two years

Mental Health First Aid - $150+GST

This 8 hour core Mental Health First Aid course will teach you the skills and knowledge to recognise and respond to someone experiencing mental distress.  You’ll receive a Mental Health First Aid certificate valid for two years upon completion. .

Mental Health First Aid Refresher - $100+GST

This 6.5-hour in-person refresher course is designed to refresh and maintain your Mental Health First Aid certification.
