The shop now focuses primarily on collision repairs and automotive painting, with a team of nine highly trained staff. In the past, the team was up to 17, with their services in high demand.

“We used to have a lot of dealer work,” Steve explains.

“There were often waitlists for three months to get cars fixed. Over time, I chose to be more specialised and move in the direction of collision repairs.”

Bodyline works with all major insurance companies, aligning most closely with the IAG insurance group. However, as the industry evolves, with insurers opening their own fast-repair centres, Bodyline’s role has shifted.

“Our point of difference is that we are specialists who can do the more complex repairs. We also are happy to visit customers on-site and quote repairs.”

The workshop is fully equipped with advanced technology, including Glasurit, a top-of-the-line German paint system, and state-of-the-art measuring and welding equipment designed for precision and safety.

“We’ve got the advanced measuring systems, the right welders, including specialized equipment required for certain vehicle makes and models,” Steve says.

“With insurance repairs, it’s not as simple as just getting the job done. You need to follow strict guidelines and provide detailed reports showing exactly where cuts and repairs can and can’t be made.
